2010 Atlanta St. Patricks Day Parade
« on: February 03, 2010, 12:20:46 am »
I just submitted our entry form for the 2010 Atlanta St. Patricks Day Parade.  It will be on Saturday, March 13.  As usual, if your car cleans up good on the outside, you're welcome and invited to join us.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

I'd like to know who is planning to drive in the parade.  Also, anyone have any suggestions for banner carriers?

I'm planning on driving the banner in the parade. My granddaughter is probably too small to carry the banner (4 yrs old), but she's awfully cute.

Are you going to have club logos put on your car?

I meant to say, "I'm planning on driving in the parade.". I don't know how it came out like that.

I've just spoken with Atul Patel, an associate member of the Georgia Fiero Club.  He's General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express on Hwy 20 in Buford, near the Mall of Georgia at I-85 North.

In the past he has offered special rates to our Fiero friends.  He is offering rooms for $69 and includes a hot breakfast for anyone from out of state that might want to stay overnight while participating in the St. Patrick's Day Parade.  For those who aren't familiar with the area, the Mall of Georgia covers more than 350 acres and is the largest mall in the state, and I think the 2nd largest in the US.

It's also about 5 minutes away from Discover Mills, a manufacturer's outlet mall and home of the Bass Pro Shop, 10 minutes from Gwinnett Mall, and 30 minutes from the Tanger Outlet Mall.  There are tons and tons of restaurants in the area of all the malls.

Contact Atul Patel at Holiday inn Express, Ga. Hwy 20, Buford Drive, Buford, Georgia.   678-381-1080  Tell him you are a Fiero owner.  Atul owns a 308 rebody.

I've got to get my car tuned up and get the oil changed before I head down that way. I'm working on getting some more cars to come down.

Ashby and Lee have my yellow car now, so it looks like I'll have 2 for the parade. I'll just need another driver.
