Atlanta Area Fiero Mechanic?
« on: January 23, 2025, 01:17:46 pm »
I have an 88 with a Pisa XTC GT body kit and a Caddy 4.9L V8.  My son drove this in high school and college, and we took it off the road due to it not running well and having constant over heating issues.  I haven't started it in a few years, but my daughter has advised she wants it to also be her first car.  The paint is gone, but that's something I can work on.  I'm hunting for a Fiero mechanic in the McDonough/Atlanta area that doesn't get eye twitches when I ask if they can work on this car.  I'm pretty sure it needs a head gasket at minimum.  I don't have a lift or any garage space to work on it due to other cars and projects needing to stay inside.  Please let me know if you know of anyone that likes a good repair project and knows the cars enough to not be intimidated by an engine swap.  I have a car trailer and can transport the car, and there's no big rush on this as my daughter doesn't get her license until June, so I would just need it back with enough time to get the paint addressed. Thanks much for any leads you can provide.  I'll add a pic before all of the paint fell off just as a conversation starter...  :)

Thanks, Chris

Contact Jason Spade at www.spadecustoms.com

He's near you, right off GA. 16 in Senoia. You couldn't ask for a better Fiero mechanic.

He's also on this board. Either Jason Spade or spadesluck. I forget which. You can pm him.  Get in line. He's in high demand.

There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Exactly my thoughts. And he knows 4.9s very well. He's building one (I think) as I type this.

I am actually SpadeCustoms on the board. :) But my name is Jason.

I do not get on this site to often anymore as it never works correctly for me. My email is spadesluck@gmail.com if you want to get in touch with me. It is also on my website, which is still a work in process.
