I would like to do another scouting/documentation run and also do a photo shoot for the event Tshirt.  Anyone wishing to be in the photo shoot let me know and we'll try to find a date that's available to everyone.  The photo shoot will require going up to the area of our planned run.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

In order to get the tshirts into production, we need to do this quickly.  For those who plan to go, list your choice of days.

Sunday July 16
Sunday July 23
Sunday July 31

Getting company from Germany on Tuesday, so chances are we will have to bring them along, to show them how beautiful our surrounding area is
(Although Anne & I will try to get rid of them as soon as possible, because, as you know, visiting family is like fish - the longer they lay around, the more they stink  ;D )

Since this run is to be a photo shoot (with Fieros), you'd need to bring your company along in Fieros. If you have two, you could take a visitor in each one.
And don't let them see that last post (unless they can't read English -- but they may know how to use Babelfish).
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

I will not be able to make it on the 16th...don't have a car to bring at the moment, plan to have the vert back on the road by the end of the weekend (water pump).

23rd is currently planned to do mods to the Lotus and get it back on the road (suspension tuning to increase the front camber...Chris feels it is too practical the way it is).

31st would be best for me...but I can probably make it on the 23rd if that is what others want.

I assume we are going to ask Chris to stay out of the pic for the shirts?  If so, I ask that I get to be the first to make fun of him and tell him he isn't wanted.  After that, everyone else can just explain that he isn't good enough to be photographed with us.

We could include him, but put him at the rear about 4-5 car lengths back and say we're outrunning him.  :)

So far it looks like most can make it on the 31st.  Since this is a Sunday and everyone can get a good night's sleep before, how about we meet in Clayton at 9AM?  There's lots to be done on that day, with documenting the run, getting information about scenic stops and the photoshoot.  I don't want us running late in the evening to get back home.  All Fieros are welcome.  They don't have to be cosmetically beautiful.  Other vehicles are welcome, too, but the photoshoot is limited to Fieros.

If it turns out that there aren't enough cars, then I guess there won't be an event shirt this year unless someone else wants to provide a design.  This will be the last opportunity to get a design and get the shirts advertised, sold and printed.

HarryT, with your intimate knowledge of the area, do you know of any lakes, rivers, or waterfalls other than Bridal Veil Falls that we can use as a backdrop for a photoshoot?

Charlie;
The only one we can think of off the top or our hats would be lake and mountain views of Lake Jocassee from the Devils Fork Park boat launching ramp.  There is no gate or guard to get in.  On a weekend they get pretty busy but it is a big parking lot.  I guess you would have to get an OK from the park Ranger station.  Let us think some more for other locations.
We will be leaving probably on Saturday for a couple of months trip up to the UP of Michigan in our coach.  We will try to be back in time for the Run for the Hills.
We will let you know if we can think of somewhere else.
