Thought this was a scouting run, not a race?  ;D

\D

Well, we're not going all out, but we do have to figure out how long the real run will take, so we have to maintain a reasonable pace. And BTW, when Fierofool goes "all out", there aren't many people that can keep up with him. I can't, and I think I'm pretty good.

Thanks for the compliment, but I'm not that good.  There's lots of others that leave me behind.  I don't dare try to keep Kevin in sight.

Wish I could go, but I don't think my leg will hold up just yet. But maybe later.  ;D

It would be bad to get out there, coming into a curve and needing to downshift and the leg go out.  Take your time.

I am, unfortunately, going to have to back out of this weekend.  I've got some personal obligations that have come up at the last minute.  No, I did not hit another ground hog  ;D

Sorry guys  :'(

We had a good trip and lunch with no incidents.  Weather was beautiful all day until right at the end.  Harry, Karin and I stopped at a sight-seeing spot and while we were there, we got caught in a hail storm.  It blew over in about 10-15 minutes and then it was clear driving the rest of the way.

Charles;
We really enjoyed our run through the mountains today.  You really made me put our Little Black Car through its paces on the twisties. Your driving and your car impressed me and I am not easily impressed.  We hope we will be in the area when the Run for the Hills #16 is held in September as we would like to be in it and meet other Fiero owners.
Thanks for a great day;

I think it was a combination of your not being familiar with some of the roads and also slacking off a little :D

I may go back and try to add a little more to the run.  I'll post it on this forum if I do.  Hope you can join in.  Thanks for coming out.

I didn't go on the scouting run because some movie people wanted to rent my car. But they gave me a BMW 325i hardtop convertible to drive while they have my car. Nice car, but, frankly, I like a Fiero better.

Don't forget you have the left inside brake light out.

Thanks for the reminder.  I was just wondering if I had one in my parts cache.

BTW, I noticed the apparent misspell in your username.  Do you want to change it to match your PFF username?

Thanks
I never noticed. ???  By the way, my clutch slave cylinder tube is one of the woven, flexible steel hoses but I will still insulate it to see if that helps.  As soon as we started driving in the rain and hail I got my clutch back so it could possibly be the fluid boiling.  I never noticed before that it came back after the car cooled down as I always pulled it into the barn when we returned from a run.  I would always bleed it before the next time out so I thought that was fixing it.  We will see. ::)

Do a thorough inspection of the back of the master cylinder to see if it's dripping fluid down the front bulkhead and underneath the carpet, and of the slave by removing the dust cover from the pushrod end to see if fluid drips out.  It may be that one of them is leaking and pulling air.  The braided flexible line is standard to allow for engine movement.  After insulating, if you have no more problem, then it's heat, but a Dickman slave is a wonderful thing.

At the July meeting, I'd like to discuss another scouting/documentation trip for RFTH 16.  We need to check out some of the sightseeing stops, and some scenic areas to do a photo shoot for the event tshirt.  We have a busy schedule through September, so we may need to make a few trips up during the week.  Anyone interested in participation, please attend the July meeting.
