The Event Hotel is:

Days Inn
54 Highway 441 N
Clayton, GA 30525
(706) 782-4258

The rates are $49.95 per night.  You must tell them "Georgia Fieros" or "Georgia Fiero Club" to get the discounted rates.  The hotel has a pool and free continental breakfast.

There is no cutoff date for these rates.  You may reserve up to and on Sept. 16, 2011.

i don't know at this time, i'm having surgery next wednesday for bone spurs and partial tear on rotater cuff on my left shoulder. its orthoscopic surgery if it just needs cleaning out it could heal in about 2 weeks. if its worse it could take 5 weeks, no run for the hills. also i'm still having issues with my car, i don't know if it will be available.

Can we get some kind of an idea who is planning on making the " RFTH"
It's very difficult because lots of people get their information from Pennocks rather than the Georgia forum.  I"ve also got notices on other club websites, too.  I even sent out personal notices to some that I know who have contacts with other Fiero clubs or groups.  Even within our own group, some don't know if they will make it until the last minute.  That was one of the reasons I chose the Days Inn as the host hotel.  They were willing to not put a cutoff date on making reservations.  Right now, I have 25 rooms blocked for our event.  I'd love it if we needed more.

Not knowing how many will attend makes it very difficult to assure we have enough maps and route sheets for everyone, so I guess I'll just wait until Thursday, Sept. 15, see how many rooms are reserved and print one set of directions for each room.

I will be their and will try to get with others to come as well.
this is a great time I was upset I missed last year.

PS. I am trying to get Kermit ready to go but it needs a lot of work first. like a motor and frontend repair.
if anyone wants to come give me a hand working on it on the weekend let me know. I can not work on it any other time because the shop is slammed.

for now I may just throw a used stock 6 in it to get it going.

Sharon and I will be there with one car, one room, and two shirts.  We will be there in the convertible again.

Chris will be there with the Lotus also...but as always, he will put off reserving the room till the last couple days.

A reminder to get your hotel reservations made.  Though you can wait until the last minute, the club needs an idea of the number of people so we can make seating arrangements with the restaurants, so the earlier the better.

If you plan to order an event tshirt, you have just over a week to get your order placed.
