Friday will be arrival, socializing and making sure the cars are in good condition and serviced.  Everyone should fill their fuel tanks on Friday night.

Saturday, We'll meet at the Ingles lot right behind the motel at 8AM for the drivers meeting and around 9AM we will pull out of the parking lot onto WarWoman Road.  That's the first road and we will end up on that road on the return trip.

Lunch Saturday will be in Cashiers at around 11:30.  I've set up the dinner at the Mexican Restaurant that's in the front of the hotel and it's planned to be around 6:30PM.  Raffle tickets will be sold Friday and Saturday and will be $2 each with 1 free ticket for each 5 ticket purchase.  I believe Don Kienlen (The Don) will be conducting the raffle since Pat and I won't be there.

Someone will have to come by my place before the run and pick up raffle tickets, and whatever else I can think of.

I'd appreciate if soembody could do that and let me know, as I'm still in Tampa and won't be able to get over to Pat's before the run.

I have two new ticket rolls, one blue and one white. If I'm not here, they will be on the front porch swing.

Everyone remember to bring your FRS radios for car to car communications.  We have been using channel 7, subset 0 for communications.  They add to the enjoyment with all the chatter and also are vital in warning of upcoming traffic, road conditions and of any breakdowns or problems.

For those who plan to arrive on Saturday morning, the meeting is at 8AM and the group will pull out by 9AM.

If Anne gets her 84 back in time from Lee, we will be heading North out of Buford around 2 PM tomorrow.
If anybody wants to join us and caravan up there, post it here or PM me.

Should Anne not get the 84 fixed in time, we will be doing some serious re-planning about the whole event.
I'll post the status here.

I had asked him to have mine done by Friday evening, but when I spoke with him this morning, he said he was working on Anne's to try and have it ready for you.  Since I was only planning to drive it up there for the meeting, I told him to put mine aside until he had her car done and ready for the run.

TopNotch and I usually film the run, but neither of us are making it this time.  Does anyone want to take my HD Video camera and mount and remote to film the run?  Your cigar lighter must work to power the inverter so the camera will run through the time you're filming.  The battery only lasts about 90 minutes.  It would be easier for a passenger to hand hold it.  LMK quickly whether hand held or camera mount since I'll have to make about an hour and a half drive to get the mount from my car by Friday night.

Do all the folks doing the printing have their event packages printed and put together?

I plum forgot about the event packages in all the recent confusion. I could have printed some for Jerry to pick up when he came and got the raffle tickets. I hope someone made up the difference.

I have a sturdy suction-cup camera mount with an articulated arm if anyone wants to borrow it...

That was kind of you Charlie, thank you, but it seems as if the brakes on the 84 are failing now. Lee will not know until about 10 AM tomorrow if the 84 Dukie will be road-worthy for RFTH. He's been splitting his time between her car and yours.

BTW oldone, I'll be taking it easy during the run if you want to ride with me

In addition to what Tim gave me, I printed 12 maps and 12 Itineraries. The maps I printed at 2400 dpi, look decent.

Hope we have enough

OK, I just printed off 20 copies. They'll be here if anyone wants to come by tomorrow and get them.
