Well, I can say from experience that the digital EGR is more aesthetically pleasing.

The vacuum EGR seems to always be rusty, although I did see someone had a chrome EGR.

I have what appears to be a chrome EGR valve.  Many GM cars had a black plastic cover that snapped over the EGR valve.  I don't remember where I got the chrome one.  It was given to me by someone.

I had the cover.  One corner melted slightly.

I have not been able to find a cover for the digital EGR.

Anyway, bumping this to the top.

Some of the vehicles did have a cover over the digital EGR valve.  If you look closely, you can see the tangs on each solenoid where the cover snaps over it.  I don't recall seeing one on an EGR valve, but I do remember seeing pictures of them.

Yes.  You and I discussed the digital EGR cover, about 2 years ago.  I was never able to buy one from a reputable place.  Although I looked through hundreds of GM vehicles at 2 junk yards, I never found such a cover.  I'm considering making a cover, though.

We have a new run just off the machine.  Due to dwindling demand, this may be our last production run.  Only 12 left as of today.

I wonder if an updated EGR routing sticker would be possible.

It's certainly possible, but may be illegal.  I contacted someone who was doing reproduction stickers throughout the Fiero.  Things like the tags for tire size and pressures, the coolant stickers up front, etc.  I asked about the RPO sticker on the left front fenderwell and they said it was illegal to reproduce it.

I'm sure that someone somewhere would be willing to make one, of course.

Currently, there's a discussion on PFF about the adapter kit and California emissions.  We have sold a number of units going to California, so certainly some if not all are getting emissions approval.  There is a photo posted of the emissions sticker that's supposed to be on the decklid of a Fiero and it clearly shows the stock EGR system.  That sticker could be modified and reproduced to show the old vacuum lines removed, along with the solenoid and distributor and a EGR valve/solenoid in place.

One scenario I presented on PFF is that a Duke emissions decal be placed on the decklid with the explanation that the decklid had been replaced at some time.  Only a Fiero knowledgeable person would know that a Fastback decklid never came with a Duke engine.

So on vista print you can duplicate anything but you check a box saying you have the right to print it. If it’s just for you then I suspect you will not get in trouble but print 1000 and I can see that raising a flag.

Here's a decal that doesn't show any components of the emissions system.  Some of the info on it might be adulterated, like reference to 3.1 and 1988 model year.
