It was also nice to meet you.  Hope you enjoyed the meeting.  Sorry you couldn't stay for the tech session.  It went well without the need for a beer or some unrepeatable language.

Hope us old folks don't deter you from returning.  You met the Gray Ghost.  He isn't as old as he looks, and there's Jeffrey and Theresa whom weren't there.  They're about your age.  Kevin, whom you met is also about your age, chronologically.  Otherwise, I'm not sure how old he is  :D  The rest of us are in denial that we're eligible for Social Security. ;)

The thing about the club is that we try to be helpful and all ages are welcome.  Hope in the future you'll bring the kids along if they'd like to come.  Again, Welcome.

Charlie, Age doesn't bother me. We actually have MANY friends that we hang with that are much older than us. Don't sweat the little stuff. I had fun. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Funny, the bumper, that I had strapped under the deck, road really well back there even at 65mph on hwy85. It was funny to look at though, had one guy staring.

I'm gonna be replacing 2 sets of Dew wipes eventually so I wish I could have seen more of that but I will just be asking questions later when i can afford a set of 4 for both cars. :-)

Also, I saw that you are running 225/60/15 tires on your GT. I have 205/65/15's on mine, I would assume that all but the 88' Lace wheels are the same size and I can run the same size tire as you are, right? I like how the 225/60's look as opposed to my slightly taller/skinnier tires I have.

The 86-88 GT's came with 205/60's on the front and 215/60's on the rear.  I think the Formula had the same size front and rear.  215/60's are about as big as you can go up front on the stock rim without some clearance issues.

My Brother is running 255/60's on the rear of his.  They don't scrub anything, but they are less than 1/8" away from the strut spring boss.  He also has 215's up front.

My 85 that I sold to TheDon has 245's at the rear and 215's up front and those fill the fenderwells very well, too.  The 245's were originally on the front of my Brother's car when we bought it.  It took a 3 point turn to get in and out of the gas pumps coming back from Virginia.  It was more like a Mustang.  Just a straight line car.

These are all on stock wheels.  Even with the 88's you can always go up at least one size.  Manufacturers seldom put the largest wheel on the car.  Usually it's the smallest that will meet federal guidelines.

Yea, I don't like the 65 series I have on the lace wheels. They are brand new tires so I will run them for a little bit but will swap them out for the 225/60/15's after they wear out.
I don't want them too wide, maybe a 235/60/15 if I get a deal on them. :-)

Oh, it's not that big of a deal right now. I was just getting an idea of what I want. My tires are sitting stacked up doing nothing right now but waiting on me to finish the Sport. I'm not in a rush. I was just asking so I know. But thanks.

Yeah, you can get an idea of what it looks like if you check the members section for Don's or my profile.

Whoa! Missed this thread.

Nice to meet you too, Jason! I'm happy that you could come out.
I don't post here as much as a lot of folks, but it doesn't mean that I'm any less enthusiastic about Fieros, or helping out if I can.
