Wanted: Atlanta area Fiero Mechanic, for a 4.9 Fiero
« on: August 28, 2011, 03:48:29 pm »
Hello.
New guy here.  I was wondering if there is a trusted Fiero mechanic that any of you use.  I plan on picking up a Fiero that I bought this week.  It has a 4.9 conversion.  Since I live in a high rise condo, I don't have a place to do oil changes etc.  I also need someone that understands the 4.9 conversion if something needs to be repaired in the future.  Any info would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks,
Curt

Hey, Curt, and welcome to the forum, the madness, and the fun.  Aside of returning to The Fiero Factory in Huntsville, the only other familiar with the 4.9 and Fiero combination would be Whodeanie's Customs in Woodstock.  His shop specializes in Fieros and does all types of custom bodies, engine transplants and repairs.  I don't think he's done a 4.9 yet, but they are very capable and qualified to work on it.  You can find a little about him on this forum by searching for Whodeanie.  Email him at dean@glassworksga.com

3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Curt, welcome!

WhoDeanie has done a lot of work on my 308 re-body (86 SE with a V6 from an 87 GT and 5-speed Getrag) since I bought it 15 months ago. You can find photos of it, and of his HUGE new shop in this forum under his 2011 Open House.

NOTE, he also has a NEW PHONE NUMBER:  770-485-1138

Also, I'm getting ready to post another message under General, with an idea you might want to consider... ;- )

Hope to meet you soon,

Fiero GTB (Tim)
