TopNotch In Hospital
« on: September 11, 2011, 10:17:20 pm »
As I was finishing my hospital visit with Melanie today at about 6:30, I received a call from GrannyLinda.  She told me that Pat was in the hospital at Gwinnett Medical in Lawrenceville.  He had suffered a heart attack.

The doctors said that he had 1 artery that was 100% blocked and that was the one that caused the attack.  He was returning from North Georgia at the time and was within about 4 miles of the hospital when he realized what was happening.  He drove himself to emergency.

They have done a procedure to open the blocked artery but he has 3 or 4 more that are better than 80% blocked.  They felt they got the one opened quickly enough that he suffered little if any damage.  The others will be addressed later since they aren't an immediate threat.

He was alert and resting comfortably when I left around 9PM and had asked for something to eat.  He said to tell you all that he probably wouldn't make RFTH.

3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Hi guys, First of all Pat will NOT be at RFTH !!!!!!!
Pat is doing well, I just talked to his nurse, He said Pat rested well and had a good night.
I am going back to be with him as soon as I get breakfast in me.
He will be having another surgery in about a week or so for the same thing

Pat & Linda:

I am so glad Pat had the wherewithal to get himself to the hospital! Mrs. Fiero GTB makes me carry two aspirin in a push-through fob on my car keys ring. Not a bad idea for any of you other 50-plusers listening out there.

We will keep you both in our thoughts and prayers.  My office is just a few mins from Gwinnett Medical Center in L'ville, so don't hesitate one second to call me if I can do anything!

I'm back home from the hospital. I will have to go back in about a week to have another stint put in.
Thanks for all your well-wishes.

There's no place like home... no place like home... especially to heal!

Glad you're back and I hope you will take it easy and just kick back and let your body re-energize and heal...

Pat,

I commented on Facebook, but I will here, too. I'm happy that you're okay. I wish you a speedy recovery.
Of course y'all are in my prayers.
