Don, give Lee a call and see if that one on my old motor from the yellow 86SE is good.  I think the early year 4 and 6 alternators were the same.  If they are and it's good, you can pick it up when you go to Ashby's.

You'd be better off putting an 88 type alternator in. You have to change the connector, but it's smaller and more efficient than the 86 type. See the Ogre's cave for more information.

If you have it checked out at Advance or AutoZone and it's good, is $20 OK?  Since the 86 was only started for a few seconds, I don't know if it was charging or not.

Great price Charlie, I'll take it, regardless if I need it or not.
Thanks

If it doesn't check out to be good, then it's not for sale.

I'll have it checked. Just need to get over there to Lee's. I'll call him tomorrow.

Also, I have about 40-50 of these ground cables, long ones and short ones. If anybody wants some, just let me know. They certainly have a bully look to them, which I prefer over the standard auto-parts-store braided type. They are top quality heavy duty and will last forever. Plus, ground cables can never be "too big"! ;D

Don,

Bring a fistful to the meeting. I'll take a couple or three. Probably will need the longer ones.
How much?

BTW: I can also get cables made long enough for a battery relocation to the front. Exact length with terminals crimped on them.
I plan on doing one myself, as soon as I can find a good battery tray for in the frunk

Let me know if anyone else would be interested.

Don, my battery is front mounted. You're welcome to check it out if you want.
The cables I need are for engine grounds. I've got two lengths of regular battery cable, bolted to two different points on the block and tranny. Bigger would be better. I do NOT have the ground "home runned" to the battery (as some people recommend) but I have not had any trouble since I realized that my battery was bad, and replaced it.

Do you have access to the crimpers for the large lugs? Or are you having someone else build the cables.
My positive cable is a bit long, and the excess is "skillfully" looped around between the firewall and cradle. Would like to shorten it a foot or two.
