Steve,
I will have my facilities department make them. They are just a slight bit smaller in gauge as the ones I'm bringing on Saturday. All I need to do is give them the exact length and they will crimp the lugs on it, as we have all the needed tools for that. I can do braided and non-braided on those, with thick insulation.
And yes, I'd like to check out your frunk-mounted setup. A battery in the front is so much more convenient.

Don,
I would be interested in some of those cables to relocate the battery, I already have a box installed but was trying to save up for cables. How much would yours be?  BTW. I just bought a battery box for a boat from wal-mart, put it in place and popped a couple screws in the bottom. comes with a lid too.

I've read of several folks that have done the same thing.  Much cheaper than buying the ones that are supposed to be custom made for the car.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

More info please!

Don't know what to charge for the long custom cables. All I pay my facilities manager to make them is a six-pack of German beer ;D

If I did that right, that will link you to what I am using :P

I do not have a spare tire so I just put this in the spare tire well (it does not go all the way down) and put a couple sheetrock scews through a fender washer and screwed it down. I also put a couple of holes in the bottom so I could run the cables staight down through the bottom of the box and out. looks very clean with the side post battery. since I don't have the stuff to relocate the battery yet, it makes a great storage area ;D

BTW it sits low enough that the sunroof still fits in its spot, although I have not tried with the lid to the box actually on the box

Be very careful poking sheet metal screws through the bottom of the spare tire well.
There are brake lines, coolant lines, and a steering rack underneath.
Admittedly, they are all metal, but you can still do some damage with a sheetrock screw.

Don:

Is there supposed to be any significance to the ends being color-coded with tape (one green, one red)?

And don't gimme any dyno-encabulator throughput off-setting made-up stories, either, please.

The electrical gremlins can go in at the green end and are trapped because they can't get out the red end.    ;D

That's the same reason I unplug my computer cable every night; so that all the stuff I've downloaded doesn't back up like an overfilled drain pipe and flow back out to the Internet!

They will work backwards. Just don't install them upside down. ???
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

Don:

I installed the cable this afternoon. Evidently, since I couldn't get a straight answer about the polarity, it sparked an electrical fire in the undertubing collector, which, of course, leaked trans fluid onto the braking rods, which spilled all over the concrete floor in our parking garage.

Unfortunately, that carried throughout the garage, burning every vehicle in sight into a pile of ashes.

We have 434 units in our building, each with 2 parking spaces assigned. According to the fire inspector's report, each resident turned in damage claims for two new Bugati Veyrons. Except one guy, who claimed a real 1980 Ferrari of some sort.

Could I please get your insurance account info?

Best,

867 Bugatti Veyrons = $1,949,192,800.
1 Fiero Mera = Priceless

Oh, yeah; your cable was the only thing that stood up to the fire, so I won't need a refund on that.  ;- )
