Yesterday, I was dtiving an Audi.  The side mirrors kept folding back, which is not my favorite thing.  The guy who owns the vehicle believes there is a faulty sensor.  No argument from me on the cause, but that would seem to be a safety issue.

They take their que from the Fiero.  Instead of the headlight doors raising up when you exceed 110 mph, the mirrors fold back.  :D

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

LOL!  No.

Driving a Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, today.  The 5.7L Hemi has plenty of go.  Not a fan of the seating position.  The headrests force my head forward.  The backup camera angles are wrong, the pedals are too high, there is a sticker on the windshield in my line of sight, and the dash is annoying.  When accelerating, the transmission hangs in a lower gear after I let off the throttle.  Otherwise, not terrible.

The eatery today had a DeLorean on the wall.  Very curious.

I used to have an F150, until I gave it to a grandson a couple of years ago. An idiot t-boned it only a few months after I bought it, and while it was being repaired, the insurance company gave me a Dodge Ram to drive. I found the forward visibility bad due to the high hood those things have, but otherwise it seemed OK.

The hood does have that big styling thing in the middle.  Other makes do that, also.

My wife gave this truck a 3 out of 5.

Well I'm going back down there today and get the top part shortened just a little, about 1" and get the shin shortened about 1" then I should be able to walk and use the clutch in my Fiero.

It's done, they shortened it and it's working better now.

This is a serious question.

How the HECK did anyone fit one of these into the itty-bitty garages of that era?

After inheriting a push mower, i used it to cut the grass.  This is the push type where you are the motor.  No, that isn't correct.  *I* am the motor--at least, when I am the one pushing it.  As the wheels rotate, they power a shaft with a bunch of blades.  The blades cut the grass.  That's the theory.  In my case, they beat the grass into limpness.

My theory is that the blades are full, but I have no way to sharpen them.  So, I tried adjusting the nlades.  I think they're adjusted out.  How the heck do you sharpen those blades, and keep all your fingers and skin?

The method we used for sharpening reel-type mowers at the golf course was to use a graphite lapping compound.  The mowers were designed so that the motor could be disengaged from the gear that drives the blade, allowing it to freewheel.  Then an electric drive motor accessory was attached to the blade axel which made the blade spin.  The base plate was slowly raised closer and closer to the blade as the lapping compound was applied.  The graphite compound worked like fine sandpaper.  The graphite was in a viscous liquid.  Our first lawnmower was of the type you have, but I don't remember how Dad sharpened that one, but I never saw him use a file to do it.

I'm trying to make a deal with the neighbor.  He sharpens, and I mow.
