I know who got the trailer, and I got everything moved into my new building  and I have plenty of room left over and it's almost next door to the Athens Police Dept.

The winds of Chernobyl have finally reached Auburn.  This rascal committed suicide when he ran into the side of the house while I was letting the dogs out.  Imagine riding a motorcycle at 70 mph with nothing but a helmet and sunglasses and catching this thing in the face.

There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Not one of those, but I was riding about that speed, and had a bumblebee get down in my shirt.  The dang thing was still alive, and not very happy.  Lots of stings.  I was holding the throttle with my right hand, and trying to get that dang bee out of my shirt, with the other hand.  I finally got the bike off the highway, and ripped my shirt off...literally.  There was no way I was going to wait to get my helmet off.

I've been hit square in the forehead with a Betsy Bug (Horned Pessalus Beetle) which is a black hardhsell beetle about 1 1/2 nches long and maybe 12 inch wide.  Running maybe 45 mph.  Nearly took me off the bike and left his horn embedded in my forehead.

I've also had a wasp enter my helmet in the left temple.  I did get the helmet off before stopping the bike.  Had to go back up the highway and get it.  I got several stings in the temple and on the ear.

I think I'll stick to 4 wheeled vehicles, with windshields.

I've had beetles get into my helmet, too.  Not pleasant.  I was going consiberably faster than I care to admit.  Even drops of rain hitting you neck at highway speeds hurts.

Yep.  I had a goose hit the windshield on a 40's Ford.  No more windshield.  The duck did not survive, either.

The beetle I pictured is a female Eastern Hercules Beetle.  The male has two large horns, one above the other that act as pincers.  It's described as a real brute.

Pat, you just need to keep the Fiero windows rolled up.  I've experienced bugs and bees bounding off the side mirrors and coming into the car.  Tegan is scared to death of almost any insect and especially a bee.  Thought she was going to crawl out the window one day when a yellow jacket bounced in.

It could be worse.  We were walking up a hill to a lighthouse, and my daughter started screaming.  We couldn't figure out what was wrong.  Turned out, a butterfly flew by.  Fortunately, she has gotten over that.

I haven't been doing anything except getting all of my lower teeth pulled and getting a denture made.

I fell off my mower and laid out in the sun and  got both of my legs burnt.
