Several years ago, I did a model shoot of a young Asian woman out of L.A. who flew into Atlanta (w/ her college professor husband!) so they could attend the "Rubber Ball" (I'll just let your mind percolate on that one a minute). She wanted something "really edgy" for her portfolio, so we did a few different Anime characters, including Sailor Moon.
And, yes, I was paid around $1,200 plus expenses, if I remember correctly.
Now that you guys are all jealous, my POINT is... I had to do a lot of advance research in order to buy all the costuming, wigs, sword, stiletto shoes, white bobby socks and blue canvas Keds shoes... etc., and there is a HUGE market for this stuff at these Anime and CosPlay shops, (ThaDriver) if you want to try them...
