Don't have an FRS radio.... got an extra?
Every time my GPS says, "Your ETA is...,"

Same here

Will some "Cheapos" from Radio Shack do? 1 to 2 mile radius or do we need more distance?

I have one extra radio.  The little $20-$30 dollar per pair units from Radio Shack or Wal-Mart work well.  Because of the curves, range is limited even with more powerful models.  Unless we have 50-60 cars we're probably not going to be spread out over a 2 mile area.

3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

For the photo shoot run (on the 31st), if we meet at the QT at exit 16 on 985 at 7 AM, we should have time to gas up and be in Clayton at 9 AM.

Well worth getting up early for this, it was awesome.
And how about Duchess with her 'lil Dukie? Aside from the minor electrical issue on the way up there and afterwards, the little 2.5 impressed me!
Issue is fixed, all good again.

Thank you all for helping getting her started those couple of times and thanks Charlie & Kevin for the escort. ;D

I also had a lot of fun and for the 'lil dukie it was a "survive or die" test. I am happy that it survived the pedal to the metal test ... lol.
Thanks for all the help guys, I felt really, really horrible when the first incident occured. I thought I had ruined your trip/fun.

For the actual run I have 2 suggestions: 1) While driving through "dark/shady" areas, please turn on your headlights. It is easier to see if someone is missing or falling behind and oncoming traffic can see you sooner.
2) Check your tires! It is quite reckless driving without any thread on your tires.

Don worked on the issue until after 11pm last night, but finally got it fixed. That means .... I am back on the road again ...hehe

Yes, Anne and the Little Dukie surprised us all.  First time out for both of them and they kept up with the crowd, and sometimes even pushed me a bit.  On the last 14 miles we caught up to a Toyota Scion who wanted to show us how it's done.  Anne and I stayed right on his bumper, all the time staying on our side of the yellow line.  Couldn't say the same for the Scion.  He had to take the wrong side of the road on every curve and he still couldn't shake us.  I don't think Anne's horn was working or she would have been blowing for me to get out of her way.
